Well, according to the historical archives, the first ever Olympics, dates back to the 776 BC and were dedicated to the Olympian gods. The games were played on the prehistoric plains of Olympia, which was the main site of the primeval Olympic Games, situated in the western part of the Peloponnese. This place is referred to as the island of "Pelops", that is, according to Greek mythology, in other words referred to as the founder of the Olympic Game.The history of Olympics is considerably very different from the modern Olympics we see today.
